Show Buster's Mag Legs Center Of Dispute The outcome of the magpie hunt contest which supposedly ended last Sunday at high noon with a victory for Dutch Hafen's team is now very much in doubt, according to Hersh Jensen, captain of the losing team. Since the final count Sunday which showed Dutch's team with a total of 337 pair of magpie legs to Hersh's team's 335, a gross deception has been discovered, according to Hersh. Innocent of any wrongdoing but nevertheless the center of the controversy is Buster Harmon. Har-mon. Buster turned in one pair of legs to Dutch. Hersh says Buster Bus-ter should have turned the legs in to him (Hersh) since Bardell Beck signed Buster up as a member of Hersh's team well over a month ago. "Buster didn't understand what he was doing when he turned that pair of magpie legs over to Dutch," Hersh fumed Thursday. I If Hersh is able to convince 'other members of the club that I the legs in question should be j counted for his team the con-j con-j test will be deadlocked with 336 pairs of legs for each team. |
