Show Hoover Commission Reports Make "Best Sellers" The Hoover Commission reports re-ports on the reorganization of the executive branch of the government gov-ernment are fast becoming best sellers even before the first copies co-pies come off the presses. The Superintendent of Documents Docu-ments at the Government Printing Print-ing Office announced today that over 1,750 persons have already placed advance subscriptions for these reports at $10 for each subscription. Over $1,000 is being received each day from persons placing orders for the reports. The Hoover Commission was authorized by the 80th Congress to conduct a study of the organization organ-ization of the executive branch of the government and to make recommendations for changes. The findings and recommendations recommenda-tions of the Commission will be published in from 40 to 50 volumes vol-umes to be issued at irregular intervals during the next few months. The first report to make its appearance will probably prob-ably be the over-all report. In addition to the reports and recommendations, task force studies will also be included in the documents. Among the subjects to be covered are executive exec-utive services, medical services, public welfare, foreign affairs, Post Office, veterans, and revolving revolv-ing funds. |
