Show Three Cars Damaged In Accident At Intersection Of State And Main Slippery roads were blamed for an accident which occurred Thursday noon near the intersection inter-section of State street and Main, involving three vehicles and resulting in more than $500 damage. According to investigatinr officers, City Marshal Harold Frandsen and County Deput Sheriff W. K. Peterson, the accident ac-cident resulted when a sedan driven by Dare Allen, 19, of Richfield skidded into the side of a truck driven by Wesley Johansen, North Sanpete nig' school teacher. The rear end of Mr. Johansen's truck was in turn thrown against the side of a parked sedan owned by Reed Madsen, operator of Madsen Photo studio. The Allen youth, a student at Snow college, told officers he was approaching the intersection from the south on State street when he noticed a pick-u truck entering the intersection from the west. He said he ap plied his brakes and, althoug! his machine skidded, he man aged to avoid the pick-up onb to skid into Mr. Johansen's truck which was approachh the intersection from the north on State street. No one was injured, althoug' four other Snow college students stu-dents were ridng in the Ailer machine. They were Glen Lund, Gene Peterson, Chesle Wintch and Rodney Graham all of Manti. Most serious damage dam-age was done to the Allen and the Madsen machines. |
