Show i r j MORONI By Special Correspondence Dr. and Mrs. Thomas A. iDodig-son iDodig-son are rejoicing over the arrival ar-rival of a ibaiby boy on November Novem-ber 16th. Born to Mr. and Mrs. LaDnue Edmunds of Wales, a son on November 23rd at the Dice Ihos-pital Ihos-pital in Moroni. Last Sunday the Bee Hive girls spent the afternoon in filling fill-ing their Trial Flight No. 4, learning to appreciate the out-ci--doors with , Mother Nature. li..ey 'were accompanied by their Bee Keepers, Mrs. Jane Bladk-nam Bladk-nam and Riuth Jensen. The Moroni Casu, and Carry Store which has been closed since August, is 'being opened for business this week under li-e imanatgement of Leslie All-red, All-red, who 'Aith ihis ii:'aimily, is moving here from Spring City. The Birthday ;Clu'b met Monday Mon-day evening at the home of Mrs. Caroline Dcaper to honor her on her birthday anniversary. There were twelve members present and t.vo special, Mrs. , Vine Blaokham and Edna Larson. Ihe time was spent in sewing alter wihidh a delicious luncheon lunch-eon 'was served. The Fireside Chat of Moroni West ward was, enjoyed last Sunday evening at the home of Garnell Blackham after the evening eve-ning church services. A very splendid assembly program pro-gram liumisthed by the Fountain Green M. I. A. was rendered in both the East and West 'wards a.' Moroni on Tuesday evening. It consisted of a piano . solo by Stella Mayer, a reading toy Etta Hansen and a ladies vocal trio by Bessie Rasmussen, Enda Cook and Velda Jackson. It was greatly appreciated by all present. pres-ent. The Relief Societies of both Moroni East and West wards enjoyed en-joyed a splendid conference bunday evening in their respective respec-tive wards. A program was given and talks by ward mem-'oers, mem-'oers, after which the visiting Stalke officers responded. They were Mrs. Anna Cook, Mrs. Agnes Ag-nes Oldroyd and Mrs. Emma Hansen of Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Vance and son of Murray, Mrs. R. M. Johnson John-son and children of Bingham Canyon and Mr. and Mrs. Dora Rosenlund and baby of Fair-view, Fair-view, visited with relatives here last weekend. On December first the Sacrament Sacra-ment meetings of Moroni West ward will be ci-j -d iback to 11:30 a. mx instead ol-7;30 p. pa., according to Bishop Morris Jensen. Jen-sen. This change 'will be made because it is more convenient lor the Freedom branch to remain re-main for services while already here Cor -Sunday School. Don't forget the Moroni Stake Road Show with six acts next Tuesday nigiht, November 24th. It 'Will 'begin promptly at 7;30 p. m. and everyone is urged to support the M. I. A. by toeing :n attendance. Mrs. Everett Otterstrom of Ogden came to spend Thanksgiving Thanks-giving i.iere with her. parents, .Vkv and Mrs. John Olsen. Mrs. Bradshaw of Wales is at the Dice hospital where she is recovering from an appendicitis appendici-tis operation performed last Saturday. She is reported to be getting along nicely now. Clifford Blackham went to Salt Lake City Tuesday on business. |
