We are having a "Name the New Sculpture" contest--partly in honor nf the removal of the steeple from the church . at 197 E. 500 So., but also partly just to have a little fun. THE BRASS tip of the steeple was taken down and now has the appearance of a contemporary piece of sculpture, sculp-ture, according to Toni Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, director. So we are going to offer a $5 - gift certificate for Baskin-Robins Baskin-Robins for the most interesting interest-ing title for the piece of sculp- ' ture. ALTHOUGH most class activities ac-tivities have been suspended for the remainder of the summer at the Bountiful Art Center, there is still a lot of building activity going on as construction continues on the additions to the ceramic studio. The Rental-Sales Gallery will be open at the center for the rest of the summer. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. -6 p.m., closed Sundays and Mondays. CLASS SCHEDULES for fall quarter will soon be available at the center. Those desiring a schedule should contact the center at 581-8820 and a new schedule will be sent on request. |
