Show Intolerance and Bigotry Every enlightened individual understands the peril that accompanies accom-panies intolerance and bigotry and, consequently, the importance import-ance of developing tolerance and understanding. The first step in improving the relationship between groups is to understand that intolerance and bigotry have existed in the world for ages and that the fight to eliminate them depends upon the development of human beings be-ings into more civilized and more religious persons. In this country, at the present time, there is a tendency to believe be-lieve that intolerance and bigotry bigo-try are Nazi-inspired. In fact, the idea was recently advanced in a public gathering of school teachers and administrators. While the enemy may exploit intolerance in-tolerance and bigotry that exist, it is a mistake to assume that these defects in personality will disappear with the defeat of Germany. Ger-many.
