Show 4-H Clubs at Wales. Utah Provide July 4th Program The "Welsh Stitchers" and the , "Howdy-Do" 4-H clubs of Wales, I Utah combined their forces and made possible a very enjoyable j celebration on the 4th of July for the citizens of their small community. com-munity. The day's activities began at 1 ' p. m. with a program in which Truth or Consequences was played. At 3 p. m., children and adult races were conducted, after which, a ball game (women vs. men) was played. Later on, a :odeo was held, and then several boxing matches. The day was .climaxed by a children's dance i at p. m., which was followed by a dance for the adults later on in the evening. During the day, 38 quarts of home-made ice cream, 15 gallons of root beer, puffed wheat balls, rice balls, and hot dogs were sold. The two clubs, consisting of 11 girls, made S33.74 clear, which will be used to pay their ex- j penses for a trip up Ephraim , Canyon with all the 4-H clubs in Sanpete county. |
