Show : Lovely Wedding Reception Given Wednesday Evening In the Manti temple on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, June 4th was solemnized the marriage of Miss Mary Hafen, Ha-fen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hafen of Mount Pleasant, to Stanley Jay Bady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brady, of Fairview. For her wedding reception at the South ward Wednesday night, the bride wore a beautifully fitting fit-ting gown of white net over taffeta, taf-feta, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and leg-o'mutton sleeves. Her fingertip veil was of sheer net bordered with heavy lace, cascading from a tiara of seed pearls. Her corsage, of exquisite ex-quisite American beauty roses, was the perfect accent for her blonde loveliness. Matron of honor was Mrs. Maurine Mau-rine Allred, who was gowned in blue and white. Attending the new Mrs. Brady were Donna Jean Johansen, Mt. Pleasant, and Mary Jensen, Ephraim, both of whom wore pink. All three wore gardenia corsages. Best man for the bridegroom was Carroll Howell of Fairview. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Hafen was dressed in a gown of green, and Mrs. Brady, the bridegroom's mother, chose a model of figured grey crepe. Both wore corsages of red and pnrnatinnc In charge of the gifts was Ve-loris Ve-loris Seely, who was assisted by Mary Lou Scoville and Shanna Hafen. Mrs. Perry McArthur presided pre-sided in the dining room and assisted by Mrs. Carlton Seely, Ann Lott, Doris and Phyllis McArthur. Mc-Arthur. The hall was beautifully decorated with large baskets of red peonies, yellow roses, locust bloom, and bridal wreath by Mrs Ben Staker, with the assistance of Mrs. Pearl Christensen. The program which was presented pre-sented with Mrs. Opal Scoville as the capable mistress of ceremonies cere-monies was as follows: Organ prelude, Florence Bagnall; opening open-ing prayer, Bishop Henry Jones of Fairview; accordian solo, Sherman Sher-man Christensen; piano solo, Carolyn Brady; song, Wilma Sor-ensen, Sor-ensen, "I Want You, Dear Heart, To Want Me"; reading, "Betty at the Baseball Game," Glenda Staker; song, "Let Me Call You Sweetheart," Maurine Allred; song, "The Sweetest Story Ever Told," Myra and Pearl Peterson; reading, "If I Could Be By Her," Beth tarlston; song, "Oh, Promise Prom-ise Me," Tommy Brunger; saxophone saxo-phone trio, Don and Grant Johansen Jo-hansen and Ralph Hafen, accompanied accom-panied by Beth Rosenlof. The' young couple are now spending their honeymoon in Utah's southern parks, Bryce and Zion canyons, and will make their home in Provo, where Mr. Brady is attending the B. Y. U. and is majoring in music. Mrs. Brady attended Snow College where she majored in business. Mr. Brady spent two years and nine months as Technical Sergeant Ser-geant in the 101st Airborne Division Di-vision in England, France, Holland, Hol-land, Belgium, Germany and Austria, and was released from the service December 12, 1945. |
