Show ! SPRING CITY By Special Correspopndence Mrs. Eva Ericksen was released as President of the ward Primary Sunday at Sacrament meeting. Mrs. Erickson has been a very outstanding president for thirteen thir-teen years. She was selected in April S, 1934, and since that time has made a success of the Primary Pri-mary requirements. Mrs. Erickson has spent many years in service in the church organizations, or-ganizations, among which are: Librarian in the ward Sunday School, a member of the stake Sunday School Board, secretary of the stake M. I. A. Twice she served as a counselor in the M. I. A. and also president of the same organization. She has taught in the local schools since she was left a widow. Her husband was Austin Erickson, formerly of Ephraim. Mrs. Erickson has three children, chil-dren, two living: Austin Erickson Erick-son of Los Cruses, New Mexico and Mrs. 'Elaine Morton of Sun-nyside, Sun-nyside, Washington. Mrs. Erickson Erick-son sent her two boys on missions. mis-sions. They served in the Southern South-ern States. She intends to spend the summer months with her children in their respective homes. Mr. and Mr? Rpirt Rorno,, o,-, son, Jay of Sheridan, Wyoming left for home Sunday evening, after af-ter visiting in this city 'with relatives rela-tives and friends. They also visited vis-ited with relatives in California and returned back here in time to spend Memorial Day. Mrs. Melba J. Wilkey entertained enter-tained her Bridge club Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Mrs. Mae Baxter was a special' guest and prizes were won by Mrs. Evelyn Acord Mrs. Dorothy Clark, Mrs, Thelma Madsen and Mrs. Dora Mae All-red, All-red, The Sunday evening service was under the direction of the ward Sunday School, with Counselor Coun-selor Lewis AUred conducting the following program: Congregation singing, "Come, Come Ye Saints," conducted by Bp. E. B. Terry, with Mrs. Elva Allred accompanist; retold Pioneer story, Miss Mor Rae Blain; song, "Thanks For The Sabbath School;" Mrs. Christie Bunnell gave a story; reading, Miss) Sherma Allred; Mrs. Mildred Mild-red Peterson gave the history of the Tabernacle and the great organ; or-gan; song, "Tis Eventide;" The prayers were offered by Floyd Draper and Royal Allred. Some of the Sunday School children were dressed in Pioneer costume to represent the stories and readings read-ings presented. The family of Mrs. Mary E. Acord observed her birthday anniversary an-niversary at her home. Her birthday birth-day was on Memorial Dav. Her sons, Clair Acord and family of Nephi, and Frank Acord and family fam-ily of Ogden were present, also other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Justesen, Glade Justesen, Judy K. Justesen and Miss Elaine Toomer of Mid-vale Mid-vale were among the Memorial Day visitors in this city. Mrs. Justesen observed her birthday on that day. Many of her Mends and relatives called to wish he: birthday greetings. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Diamond and family of Midvale spent Sat urday anct Sunday visiting at the home of Mrs, Ruth Osborne. They also visited in Fairview before returning home. Mrs. Osborne, Miss Ethel Osborne, Mrs. Clifl'orc. justesen and Judy K. Justesen Visited Sunday evening and Monday Mon-day in Fairview at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gardell Osborne. Mrs. Margaref Petersen has returned re-turned home from visiting at Salt Lake City with her children and other relatives; Mr. Henry Jensen of Manti visited vis-ited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Strate. He came to bless and name their young son in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Other babies blessed were the young sons of Mr. and Mrs. Odell Donaldson and Mr. a"nd Mrs. Clark Christensen. Among the out of town visitors in Spring City for Memorial Day were: Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Mickel and son of California; Mrs. Maurine Mau-rine Brown, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Maxfield, of Tooele; Mr. and Mrs. Delos Blain, Murray; Mr. and Mrs. Alden Blain and son, Ursel of Bountiful; Mrs. Arnold Allred and family of Eureka; Mrs. Sarah E.
