Show 1 FAIRVIEW '' I By Special Correspondence A Beautiful May Wedding It was a lovely May wedding for Miss Ruth Garlick and Kline B. Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Larsen. Ruth is the attractive at-tractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tucker Orton. The marriage took place Friday, May 23rd and a reception re-ception honoring the couple was held that evening in the North ward chapel. Ruth chose for her bridesmaids Carol Price of Salt Lake City and her sister, Mrs. Cleo Anderson. The bride was gowned in a grey suit and peach blouse with black assessories and wore an orchid corsage. The bridesmaids wore corsages of baby orchids and Lillies of the Valley. Guy Price of Salt Lake City was best man. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Tucker Orton, Mr. and Mrs. James P. Larsen, Guy Price, Mr. Larsen, Mrs. Larsen, Carol Price, and Mrs. Cleo Anderson. Mrs. Orton wore a navy blue and white gown and Mrs. Larsen was gowned in light tlue. They each wore a corsage of gardenias and rosebuds. After the following program refreshments were served to 225 guests: Prayer, Ira Garlick; vocal vo-cal solo, "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life," Lila Seely; reading, Beth Carlston; violin and accordian duet, Alvin Brady and Norma All-red; All-red; vocal solo, "Maytime," Wy-nelle Wy-nelle Vance; reading, Ruth Erick-son; Erick-son; drum solo, Ralph . Funeral Services Held Monday For J. L. Rollins of Orem, Utah Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Monday, May 26th in the Fair-view Fair-view North ward chapel for J. L. Rollins of Orem, Utah. The services, serv-ices, conducted by Bishop Sylven V. Peterson, were as follows: Song, by the choir, "Oh My Father;" prayer, Newell B. Cox; vocal duet, "In The darden," Ellen El-len Peterson and Elva Hamilton; tribute, Brother Higgby, a counselor coun-selor in the Orem ward Bishopric; talk, brother Hanks, a neighbor to Mr. Rollins in Orem; vocal trio, "Near to My Father's House;" talk, Bishop Howard W. Mr. Rollins was born January 29, 1880 at Vernon, Utah, a son of Orson and Ingra Benson Rollins. Rol-lins. He was married Sept. 16, 1914 to Minta Norman in the Salt Lake L D S temple. They lived in Fairview until 1937 when they moved to Provo. Survivors include his widow, one son, Loyd V. Rollins, Orem; one daughter, Mrs. Dorthella R. Price, Salt 'Lake City; one grand child, one brother, Charles Rollins, Rol-lins, Salt Lake City; and two sisters, Mrs. Belle R. Benson, Murray Mur-ray and Mrs. Amelia R. Dunne, San Francisco, California. Memorial Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sanderson were Mr. and Mrs. Arch Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Orton and son, Paul, Mrs. J. E. Garn, Vivien Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Swan, all of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Russell Madsen and daughter, Margarite of Provo. , Sydnee Sanderson and Norma Jones were down from the University Uni-versity of Utah and Business College Col-lege for a week end visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A son, born to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Stewart of Mt. Pleasant. The baby arrived May 3rd at Fairview, and mother was formerly for-merly Miss Helen Mower of Fair-view. Fair-view. Harry Mayo is up from Long-view, Long-view, Texas to spend the summer sum-mer with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Miner. Mr. Miner was a close friend of the Mayo family while on an L D S mission in Texas.
