Show "1 ' ' J j FA1RVIEW I I By Special Correspondence I Funeral Service Held For Victim of Automoble Accident One of the largest funeral services ser-vices that was ever held in ! air-view air-view w as the funeral held m the North Ward chapel last Friday afternoon at 2 p. m. for Miss Ruth Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Peterson of Fairview, who was killed in an automobile accident Monday evening, Sept. 21 on the curve in the road about two blocks sonth of Spring City. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Golden Carls-ton. Carls-ton. The combined choirs of the two wards sang, "Sometime We'll Understan," and the opening prayer was offered by Elder Stanley Stan-ley Brady. A school chorus, under un-der the direction of Ernest Terry, accompanied by Mis Ruth Anderson, An-derson, sang, "In The Garden of Tomorrow." The speakers were Bishop Henry W. Jones, Bishop Golden D. Carlston and Elder Merlin H. Madsen. A vocal solo, "Going Home," was sung by Mr. Floyd Young, accompanied by LeNila Young. The closing song, "O My Father," was sung by the choir. The closing prayer was given by Elder Allie Carlston and the grave at the City cemetery was dedicated by Elder Jordan Mower. The many beautiful flowers were carried by her girl friends of the Junior class of the North . Sanpete High School and relatives. rela-tives. Many out of town people came to attend the service in honor , of Miss Peterson. V Mr. Vergil Peterson, who is in the U. S. Service, visited for aQrtJ few days with his parents, Mr and Mrs. James Peterson. The Relief Society opening so cial was held in both the North lCi and South wards of Fairview' las Tuesday afternoon. A splendid splen-did program and a lovely luncheon lunch-eon was given in each ward Mr. Arthur Tucker enlisted in Of F the Signal Corps Reserve last Monday at Salt Lake City.
