Pleasant on Wednesday, October 7th at 2:00 p. m. at the North Sanpete high school auditorium, to which all ladies of Mt. Pleasant, and also North Sanpete are cordially invited to attend. Her subject will be "Julia Wright's Nutrition and Cooking Clinic." Intensified study of food and food values since President Roosevelt called the National Nutrition Nu-trition Conference in Washington in May, 1941, has led to startling discoveries concerning the effect of various foods upon physical and mental well-being, according to Mrs. Wright. These discoveries, discov-eries, she explains, deal chiefly with various vitamins, including some which have come to light recently. "For example, take the humble , carrot, -"Mrs. Wright explains, "Nutritionists have found that carrots contain a vitamin that reduces re-duces night blindness, the bugaboo buga-boo of night fliers and truck-drivers. truck-drivers. Not only has this vita-min vita-min proved a boon to our fighting fight-ing men, but war plants and other oth-er vital industries have found carrots helpful in reducing illness ill-ness and accidents. One trucking truck-ing company reports a 50 per cent reduction in accidents since its employees stepped up their carrot consumption." Mrs. Wright, an attractive, vi-. vi-. brant young woman, is director of Safeway Stores' Homemaker's Bureau, home economics editor of The Family Circle magazine and author of the widely-read "Kitchen "Kitch-en Course in Nutritition." She translates nutrition into simple, non-technical terms readily understood un-derstood by any housewife and easily applied in any kitchen. Mrs. Wright, whose lectures are ligtened with a fine sense of humor, calls the household kitchen kitch-en the real beauty parlor of present-day living. Proper selec-ion selec-ion and preparation of food, Mrs. Wright says, will do more for the modern woman than all her cosmetics. cos-metics. Mrs. Wright's "Kitchen Course in Nutrition," has just come off the press in a war-time edition. This is to be made available to the people of Mt.
