Show Fountain Green Descendants Of Lars Nielsen Hold Reunion Descendants of the late Lars Nielson held their reunion at Salt Creek Canyon Sunday, August Aug-ust 22nd. Of the 156 living descendants 88 were present. An inforrhal program was enjoyed and luncheon was served. A family reunion committee com-mittee was then organized as follows: James L. Nielson, president; pres-ident; Mrs. Zina N. Cook, vice president; Mrs. Caroline N. Johnson, secretary and treasurer. treas-urer. A genealogical committee was also organized with Soren C. Nielson as chairman; Paul E. Nielson, vice chairman; Mrs. Ivy N. Seager, research; Mrs. Victoria Warnick, historian. Ivan Bailey and family attended at-tended tly? L. A. Bailey reunion at Nephi Canyon, Sunday evening eve-ning August 22. m Mrs. Zell Seely visited with her daughter Mrs. Clark Tobkr and family of St. George during the week. Randall Christiansen and family are leaving to make their home in Payson where Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen will operate op-erate a cafe. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. James H. Mikkelson is their daughter, Mrs. Arvilla Taylor and her family of Vernal, Utah. At the Lyman Seely home for the week were Lt. and Mrs. Carl P. Seely of Spokane, Washington Washing-ton and Commander and Mis. McGinnis of Miami, Florida. Visitors from Dallas, Texas, were Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Holmes and children at the home of their aunt, Mrs. Caroline N. Johnson. Mrs. Holmes will be remembered remem-bered by her many friends as Miss Eva Llewellyn. Elder Joseph Revill of Moroni was the speaker at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Special musical numbers was a vocal duet given by Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rasmussen, with Mrs. Hazel Bailey, accompanist. Visiting at the Gladys Winters home for the past week were her daughter, Mrs. Irene Stanley Stan-ley and their son Gary of Nephi. Ne-phi. They are leaving soon to make their home in Roy, Utah, where Mr. Stanley has employment. |
