His first wife was Mrs. Kose White Andersen. After their divorce he was married to Isabel Juliette Juli-ette Nielsen in the Manti L. D. IS.. Temple in May. 1901. Surviving are three sons and two daughters. Ivan Andersen of Moroni, Leonard and Kent Andersen of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Eva Anne Shirley of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Truman Tru-man Hall of Santaquin; 19 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Remains Of Joseph J. Gee To Rest At Moroni Mr and Mrs. Urvin Gee of 884 Smoot Ave., Provo, received word from the Graves Registration Registra-tion Department at Ogden that the remains of their son Pfc Joseph J. Gee, who was killed in action in Germany dunn? the recent war, were enroute to the United States. The body reached New York harbor on August 19. . Pleasant. The remains will be buried with full military honors hon-ors in the family burial plot in Moroni city cemetery. Announcement will be made later in local papers as to the hour and the day on which briet graveside services will be held. Friends of the family may call at the home of Soren C. Nielsen in Moroni in the early part of the day of the burial. Native Buried Here Mrs. Pernelia S. Blackham, 66, 'was buried Saturday at Moroni Mo-roni following funeral services at Salt Lake city where she had made her home. The grave was dedicated by Soren C. Nielsen. She was a sister of Lewis Blackham of Moroni. She died a week ago Wednesday after a lingering illness. Mrs. Morley was born in Moroni, June 26, 18S2, a daughter daugh-ter of John and Mathilda Larsen Blackham. She was married to Thomas J. Morley in the Manti Temple on October 15, 1902. Mr. Morley died in 1925. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she attended the Harvard Ward in Salt Lake. She had been an invalid with arthritis since 1937. She is survived by three sons, Victor J. Morley, Huntington Park, California; J. Kent Morley, Thomas Melroy Morley of Sail Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Reva Thomas, Mrs. Mary Ludlow of Salt Lake; Mrs. Venice Tablei of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Eu- dean Benson of Los Angelas. California; 10 grandchildren, one brother, Lewis L. Blackham of Moroni; five sisters, Mrs. Loiena Draper of Genola; Mrs. Leona Irons of Moroni; Mrs. Vanorma Anderson of Richfield; Mrs. Nida Bradley, Mrs. Doril Hiller of Salt Lake city. Ivan Anderson received word Saturday of the death of his father in Salt Lake City. The West Ward Y. W. M. I. A. was reorganized last Sunday in Sacrament meeting. The new officers are: Reva Swenson, president; Ilene Moss, first counselor; Wanda Cahoon, 2nd counselor; Loeta Bagley, secretary. secre-tary. The speaker was Gayle Yorga-son Yorga-son of Nephi. The speakers in the East Ward were Vernon Moore of Bountiful and Dermont Madsen. The annual Nelson Family reunion was held last Sunday in Mill creek canyon where every ev-ery branch of family was represented rep-resented to enjoy the delightful program and also delicious refreshments. re-freshments. Mrs. Caroline Draper received word this week t h r. t her biolher, Soren Nielson of Magna, is very ill. Mrs. Ila Faux went to Salt Lake city Tuesday to visit with her mother who is seriously ill at a Salt Lake hospital. Miss Maxola Olson of Spring City is spending a few weeks with her grandmother, Mrs. Annie Nielson who has been ill for the past three weks. Mrs. Horace Draper returned home last week from Salt Lake city after a few days visit there. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Naylor and family of Sunnyside have returned home after spending two weeks with Mrs. Isabelle Kellett. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Trone of Salt Lake City spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Draper. They were on their way to Los Angeles to spend a two weeks vacation. Mrs. Thomas Bailey received word this week that her brother, Elmer Lauritzsen is very ill. He resides at Hyrum, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Christensen Chris-tensen and son Jay and Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Christensen returned home last week after spending a most delightful vacation in Yellowstone Park. Mrs. Etta Estes is visiting with relatives in Logan. Mrs. Minerva Nelson visited last week with relatives in Og-den. Og-den. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Blackham and family of Salt Lake City spent last week with relatives here. |
