Show Construction of Tennis Court Barbecue Pit Begins at Mount Pleasant Recreation Center The Mt. Pleasant Recreation Committee aTinounces that work on the combination dance hall and tennis court began Thursday morning when Bert Wright, Seymour Sey-mour Jensen and others began putting in the forms and reinforcing rein-forcing steel. The first pour of concrete is scheduled for Monday, Mon-day, July 15, and there will be a pour every day thereafter until the tennis court is finished. The Civic organizations of Mt. Pleasant have volunteered their services in making the individual pours. The schedule will be as follows: Monday, July 15, I. O. O. F. Lodge Tuesday. July 1G, Lions Club Wednesday, July 17, Junior Chamber of Commerce Thursday, July 18, American Legion Friday, July 19, I. O. O. F. Lodge Saturday, July 20, Lions Club Monday, July 22, The J. C.s Tuesday, July 23, American Legion It is not certain exactly how many days it will take to make the pour, but this procedure will be repeated until the cement work is finished. It should also be understood by the individual organizations and members that they appear at 8 o'clock each morning to start the pour, and stay until the forms and reinforcing steel are ready for the next day's pour; and also be prepared to lend some assistance on the Barbecue Pit which has to be dug and rocked in. Fifteen men will be needed each day. Bert Wright and Seymour Jensen Jen-sen will be in charge of construction construc-tion work at the tennis court until finished; while O. P. Anderson, Ander-son, chairman of the Barbecue Committee wnII be in charge of the construction of the Barbecue Pit. |
