Show Big Celebration Is Planned For Mt. Pleasant Aug. 2-3 Committees Have Been Chose-: For Two-Day Celebration; Parade. Children's Sports, "i Rodeo and Barbecue Are To 2e Given During Big Event The mammoth celebration which is to be in Mt. Pleasant Friday and Saturday, August 2 , and 3 is well under way. The 1 Mt. Pleasant Iecreation Com-' Com-' mittee has been meeting regularly regular-ly and has its committees organized organ-ized and working. As this celebration is to be an annual affair in our city, it needs a special name for designation. A contest is now on for a name 'h. for our celebration. Everyone A please getyour thinking caps on .J and enter a suitable suggestion. " Into a sealed envelope place -J your name and your suggestion ' for the title of our celebration. Place the enevelope in the container con-tainer provided at either the Buy-Wise Drug Store or Paul & I . Vern's Cafe. Suggestions will be accepted up to July 20. Let's get our suggestions in soon! The Recreation Committee will act as judges. A prize will be award- - ed the winner. You lively young ladies, look your loveliest, for a queen contest con-test is also being held. The four men's organizations The Junior Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, American Legion and I. O. 0. W. F. Lodge will each nomi- C nate two girls for queen. This i : nominating will be done by Sun- day, July 14. Voting will be one cent a vote, and containers repre-' senting each contestant will be j placed in many business places in town.
