Show j FAIHVIEW ! 1 By Special Correspondence Mr. J. M. Sanderson celebrated his 80th birthday July 4th at his home in Fairview. He was born July 5, 1S66 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Henry W. Sanderson and Rebecca Ann Sanders Sanderson. He married Diantha Neilsen January Jan-uary IS, 1893 in the Manti Temple. Tem-ple. Mr. and Mrs. Sanderson are the parents of thirteen children, eight of whom are still living. Seven of their eight living ' children were present for the occasion. The children present were: Mr. and Mrs. George I. Sanderson of Draper; Mrs. Mae Sanderson Graham Gra-ham of Manti; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mower, Woodruff; Mr. and Mrs. Devon Sanderson. Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Evan Cox and Miss Rebecca Sanderson, of Fairview; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sanderson, of Bingham Canyon; one daughter, Mrs. M. A. Harrison Harri-son of Neola, Utah was unable to attend. Besides their sons and daughters there were present 21 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. Two grand sons are in the armed forces. Other friends and relatives visited Mr. Sanderson Sander-son during the day. An afternoon chicken dinner was served to over 40 members of the family. Keith Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Liren Hamilton and "Miss LaRue Neilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Neilson of Spring City, were married in Manti on Tuesday, July 9th. They will make their home in Salt Lake City. Mr. Hamilton will resume work at Ogden where he was employed before he entered the service. A shower for Mrs. Hamilton Ham-ilton will be given in Spring City Friday evening by Mrs. Claude Acord, a sister of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hansen of Los Angeles, California Visited one day last week with Miss Nivien Christensen. They then went to Salt Lake City to visit with relatives there and in Lei'.. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neilson and small son, Charlie of San Diego, California have spent the past two week's at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Vance. Mrs. Ross Vance and daughter, Betty Neilson spent Monday in Salt Lake City visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Maude Hartley entertained entertain-ed her club at her home Friday afternoon. The time was spent in playing rook. Score prizes were won by Thelma Mower and Varda Vance. Refreshments weie served to those present. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Vance of Salt Lake City visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Vance. Mr. and Mrs. ('ar)yle Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Green of Thistle returned home Thursday from a week's trip through Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National park. Mr. and Mrs. David Rigby and son have gone to Hill Field to make their home. Mr. Rigby is employed there. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Briggs and son came from Glendale, California Cali-fornia last Thursday to spend the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Rigby and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Briggs. Mr. Briggs is attending the Hollywood Holly-wood beauty school where he is studying hair styling. Mrs. Ethel Dickson and two children of Van Nuys, California are here for a month's visit with her mother, Mrs. Julia Turpin. Miss Fawn Christensen of Salt Lake City spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Afton Christensen. Dr. and Mrs. Reed Andrews visited with Miss Nivien Christensen Chris-tensen last week. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Tucker and three children of Los Angeles were visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hansen Han-sen and Mr. and Mrs. George Mills. Mrs. Laura Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Garlick and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Day went to American Fork last week to attend a wedding wed-ding reception given in honor of two sons of Gaston Garlick and their brides. Bruce Garlick married an Australian Aus-tralian girl while he was stationed sta-tioned in Australia with the U. S. Army. She has just arrived in this country last week. De Verl Garlick recently married mar-ried a California girl. Mr. and Mrs.. D. R. Carlston and family visited last week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lamar Gledhill and three children of Roosevelt are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wililam Rigby. Mrs. lone Rigby entertained her club Thursday evening. A pleasant evening was spent playing play-ing bridge. Score prizes were won by Minerva Vance and Ellen Turpin. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cartwright and Dr. and Mrs. Dean Rigby an nounce the arrival of baby boys at the home of their parents, Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Rigby.
