Show Fishing Violations Result In Warning To Utah's Anglers An increase in the number of arrests during May for violations of fishing regulations, today resulted re-sulted in a warning from George R. Reid, chief deputy game warden, war-den, that an intensified patrol would .be maintained throughout the state from now until end of the fishing season. "Utah anglers are urged to obtain ob-tain a copy of the fishing proclamation proc-lamation for 1946, either from their sporting goods dealers or by writing to the Utah Fish and Game Depeartment, Room 321, State Capitol," Reid advised. A breakdown in May's arrests revealed that of 16 violations reported re-ported to date, nine were for infraction in-fraction of the various fishing laws. Other arrests were for violations vio-lations of game bid laws, shooting shoot-ing on preserves and possession of illegal game. Reid further warned Utah fishermen fish-ermen that road blockades would be maintained until end of the season in ordtr to apprehend users of illegal baits and those having in their possession more than the legal limits of game fish. Reid pointed out that under Section 30-0-10,Utah Code, game wardens are provided with authority au-thority to stop automobiles for the purpose of search and seizure of furs, fish and game when taken tak-en or held in violation of law. . |
