Show I MORONI ' i By Special Correspendonce Don Sorenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Sorenson, has received an honorable discharge from the U. S. Service and is being welcomed wel-comed home again by his many relaitves and friends at Moroni. Hyrum Anderson at Wales, U-tah U-tah is at the Dice hospital, where he was opereatde on Tuesday morning for appendicitis. He is improving very nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Riley and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christensen, all of Goshen, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ern-est McClellan of Payson; Mr. and Mrs. Arden Peterson of Richfield, Utah visited last week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson. Peter-son. Memorial. Day was a day. of many happy family reunions for practicallyevery home in Moroni found guests from far and near, who had come to pay tributes to their dead as well as to renew old friendships and family ties. It is reported that more people were here for the day than in any prvious year, Mr. and Mrs. Frede Abbott are visiting for a few days with relatives rela-tives in Salt Lake City and in Idaho, after which they will return re-turn here for a visit with Moroni relatives, The many relatives and friends of Mrs, Mary Alice Arnoldsen Frandsen were shocked to learn of the death of her husband, Art Frandsen last Wednesday at Salt Lake City. Funeral services for Mr. Frandsen were held Saturday at Mt. Pleasant and many Moroni Mo-roni people were in attendance. Mrs. Frandsen and family have the sympathy of everyone in Moroni Mo-roni in their sad bereavement. Miss Betty Despain, Miss Mar-celline Mar-celline Bailey and Ray Blackham received their diplomas for graduation grad-uation at the Snow College last week. Their parents attended the graduation exercises there last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Monte Jensen arc rejoicing over the safe arrival oi a baby girl on May 31st. The mother was formerly Miss Jean Oldroyd of Fountain Green. |
