If she acquires the to-Lacco to-Lacco habit, future generations will te stamped by degeneracy and depravity de-pravity which follows the use of tobacco as surely as they follow the use of alcohol." Since that statement was made, cigarette smoking among women has increased by leaps and bounds. It is a pitiful thing to see young girls pictured on billboards, in magazines and newspapers, smoking, in order to advertise the cigarette. But the is growing at a rapid rate among women, and may well alarm these who 'have heart for the well being of the rising generation. So rapidly has this habit spread that fashionable hotels and cafes are providing rooms fcr the special use of these women wso like to indulge in an after dinner cigarette. It is stated that noted restaurants have I added rooms to Which ladies with j their escorts might retire and smoke. Women can be seen with tneir cigarettes at any time in the 'hotels and restaurants of our largei cities. |
