Show Committees To Set 1938 AAA Goals County committees in Utah ; unties will meet early this winter win-ter to get soil-building and soil-depleting soil-depleting goals for individual farm :rs, according to Agricultural Adjustment Ad-justment Administration's officials. In additicn to these goals, national, nat-ional, state and county goals will b;- set. "The national soil-depleting crop ileal is the acreage which will produce pro-duce the nations fcod and fiber requirements with an additional allowance for export and reserves," George E. Farrell, regional director direc-tor cf the western division cf the AAA says. The soil depleting goals for individal farmers will indicate their share of the national goal. 'Individual crop goals, as set up by the county committees, will stipulate the amount of soil-con-erving work which farmers must do in order to qualify for payments. pay-ments. These goals may be reached reach-ed either by the seeding and maintaining main-taining of soil-ccnserving crops or by the carrying out of scil-con-rving practices. In determining the soil-depleting crop goal, coun-' coun-' 'y heads will take into consideration considera-tion the amount cf tillable land on ' the farm, the normal seeding of ' that land, and the type and geo-' geo-' graphical layout of the farm. Meetings to acquaint officials with the requirements of the 1938 pre gram will be held in Utah beginning be-ginning November 8, Saul E.
