Show MORONI 1 By Special Correspondence I Mrs. Earl Cahoon and son dahlias dah-lias recently returned from a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hiller and Miss Lucille Cahoon of Salt Lake City visited Sunday in Moroni with relatives. Under the direction of the Sons and Daughters of Pioneers organization organ-ization Moroni presented a very pleasing program Thursday at the Black Hawk Encampment at Cedar City. Their program went ever in a big way and they received many compliments on it. Thirty-five people left Moroni Wednesday morning in a bus for Cedar City. They went by way of Ccve Fort. On Wednesday and Thursday they attended thij encampment. en-campment. Friday morning the;' left Cedar City and went through .ions National Park and from there to Bryce canyon. They returned heme late Friday night. The company consisted of Captain Cap-tain Soren Nielson and! wife, Mrs. Marvin Anderson and daughter Beth, Mi-, and Mrs. John D. Bailey and daughter Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Mozart Larsen, Mrs. Alfred Draper, Mrs. John Sme, Mrs. Andrew Bradley Jr.. Mrs. Ben Clcward. Mrs. James M. Larsen, Miss Edna, Larsen. Mrs. Olive D. Anderson, Mrs. Eliza Bradley, Mrs. Tranquilla Dye, Mrs. Hyrum Blackham, Mrs. Amat DraDer. Mert Drape-.-, Join Syme, Mrs. Walter Hardy, Mrs. Lew Justenseni and her father James Syme, a pioneer; D. C. Nelson, Nel-son, Mrs. Oscar Hansen, Miss Lois Monson, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes and son Ccllin. Bent Monson and Mrs. Anthony Christensen of Moroni, Carrol Draper of Genolu snd Kent Morley of Salt Lake City. They report re-port having a very enjoyable trip and that it was the best encampment encamp-ment thev had ever attended. Mrs. Eugene Jensen returned to her home in Salt Lake City after visiting relatives and friends in Moroni the past month. Mrs C. W. Brunner of ProvJ was a guest of her daughter Mrs. Frank Bruno a part of last week. The M. I. A.'s of both wards entertained en-tertained with a carnival Tuesday night on the City Hall grounds and in th- building. There were booths with aU sorts of freaks, hamburgers, hamburg-ers, candy, etc. and there was a torch light parade on Main Street. The evening was concluded with a dance at Joyland. |
