Show Murdock Urges Ickes to Approve South" Sanpete School Building; Program Congressman Abe Murdock today wired! Public Works AdmAnistrator Ickes requesting early approval of a school building program submitted submit-ted by the South Sanpete School District. The revised building program, pro-gram, calling for the, building of three new manual training shops, the remodeling of two school buildings, build-ings, and other minor improvements, improve-ments, would cost approximately $50,000.00. According to the Congressman, Con-gressman, the sponjjor's share cf funds for the project is provided for in this year's budget. The project has been approved by the State Office and is now awaiting action in Washington. . The Congressman's telegram follows: fol-lows: "Honorable Harold L. Ickes Administrator Federal Emergency Administration cf Public Works, I am informed school building project submitted by South Sanpete San-pete School District has been approved ap-proved by State Office and is now awaiting your action. This project would afford vitally necessary facilities fa-cilities for students now improperly housed. Investigation convinces me project is highly meritorious and I request your early approval. Abe Murdock." |
