Show No Worries at Fairview Bank; No Bills to Pay There is no cause for worry cr for any person to have any guess or doubt as to the soundness of the Fairview State Bank. It has always been and is now a strong financial institution. The state bank holiday proclaimed pro-claimed by Governor Henry H. Bleed lor the stnte of Utah was for the protection of the bank.'ng interests of the state up north. With neighboring states declaring' a holiday it was necessary for Utah to do the same. The Fairview bank doesn't need any holiday, but it would be difficult diffi-cult for the Sanpete banks to operate when the clearing house in Salt Lake City was closed for a holiday. For the benefit of anyone in the valley who may be a "little interested inter-ested in the Fairview State Bank The Pyramid will give you this information in-formation as to the soundness of our home institution. Peter Sund-wall. Sund-wall. Jr., the congenial cashier of the bank, told the publisher of The Pyramid this morning that the bank would be conducting business bus-iness as usual if it were not for the clearing house in Salt Lake having a holiday and the wish of the Governor for complete observance observ-ance of the holiday over the state. Mr. Sundwall showed us the state ment cf the bank of today showing show-ing that there were no bills payable. pay-able. That in itself is a splendid showing. The bank has more than $115,000.00 in cash, Government bonds, municipal bonds a strong secondary reserve. All the demand deposits are slightly over half that amount. That shows the bank is in a most avorable position. If every person in Sanpete could say, like the Fainiew State Bank, that they have no obligations to pay they could also smile and whistle. |
