Dinner was served to the children and grandchildren. grand-children. Mrs. Hortence Peacock and Mrs. Frank Russel and children chil-dren of Salt Lake City came for the occasion. Velao Covert and family have moved here from Pleasant Grove. They live in the home owned by Hugh Jensen. Mrs. Melvin M. Duncan was given a pleasant surprise in the form of a party at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mina Carlson, Monday. Mon-day. A delicious luncheon was served to Mrs. Vincent Major, Mrs. Vardlo Jensen, Mrs. Mina Carlson, Mrs. Arvold Petersen, and the Misses Edna Carlsen, Alice Larsen, Mary Ccleman, Eleanor Larsen, Erma Nunley, Dora Carlsen and the guest of honor. Mr. and Mrs Vincent Major visited relatives in Moroni Saturday. Satur-day. Miss Eleanor Larsen visited in Nephi" Tuesday with friends. The M. Men and Gleaner Girls enjoyed, a sleighing party Saturday evening. Refreshments were served at the Tithing office. A shower was given for Mrs. Leon Syndergaard Tuesday evening eve-ning of last week at the home of Mrs. Eva Ericksen. A dainty luncheon lunch-eon was served to 70 guests. Many lovely and useful gifts were given to the bride. Mrs. Ada Ellis returned home Tuesday from Ogden where she received medical treatment. Mrs. Jane Justesen has returned home from Midvale where ' she has been visiting for the past month with her son, Cloy and family. Peter Christoffersen, Frantz and Doyle Madsen, Ray Johansen and P. O. Syndergaard left this week to work for the Livestock Company. Mr. Earl Jensen left Tuesday for California where he has employment. employ-ment.
