Show Moroni Stake Entertains 0!d Folks at Party The Moroni Stake royally entertained en-tertained all the old folks over 60 years of age Saturday, February 25th, in the high school building. The high school band greeted the old people as they entered the building. At 12 o'clock noon a chicken dinner was served to 325 people. 235 people were seated at the first table. Bishop Ephraim Nelson offered the invocation. Ilmo Irons gave the address of welcome. Special arranged music of "Annie Laurie," "Long, Long Ago," and "When Irish Eyes Are Shining" was played play-ed by Morris Anderson on the violin, Mont Kellett on the clarinet with Miss Ellen Anderson at the piano. Sharp Draper, Dorain Sor-ensen, Sor-ensen, Leon Curis and Earl Syme sang a quartet, "When You and I Were Young, Maggie" accompanied accompan-ied by the piano and seven violins during the dinner hour. After dinner the following program pro-gram was given in the auditorium: Duet, "Old Folks Greetings," Mrs. Elmo Irons and Mrs. Ernest Anderson An-derson accompanied on the piano by Miss Kathrine Anderson; reading, read-ing, "Betty and the Bear," Dean j Larsen cf Wales; solo, "Just Plain Folks," Glen Taylor of Freedom; I comic selection, Mrs. Marvin An-iderson An-iderson and Mrs. Ben Cloward; male quartet, "My Sweet Irish i Queen;" original reading, "Tribute To Old Folks," Mrs. MoragnLamb; response, J. L. Nielsen of Fountain Foun-tain Green; "Who Kissed Barbara?" Bar-bara?" one act play from Fountain Foun-tain Green with the following cast: Cal Christensen, Devere Johnson, Miss Geraldine Allred, Miss Ina Hansen, Jewel Lund; Le-land Le-land Hansen, director. Old time dancing was enjoyed from 3.30 to 5 o'clock. The concluding con-cluding feature was a dance at night in the gymnasium with a good crowd in attendance. The officers of the Stake Relief society were in charge of the dinner. |
