Show Marilyn Shields Is Hostess to Elysium Club Marilyn Shields was a charming charm-ing hostess when she welcomed Elysium Club members to her home this week. President Mary Lou Gardiner presided at the meeting, and Bliss Brimley offered of-fered prayer. The president then presented business matters, the big feature of which was the 49th convention of the Timpanogos District of the Federated Womens Clubs, to be held in the Pleasant Grove Third-Sixth Ward Chapel on Apr. 18 with the Elysium Club as hosts. Preliminary plans were discussed. In other business matters handled by the club it was voted to use project funds for a World Globe for the Pleasant Grove Library and also donate funds to the Utah County Child Guidance Guid-ance Clinic. After these matters had been disposed of the members turned to their election of officers. Mary Lou Gardiner will serve her second year as president with Marie Harper, vice president; Joanne Jo-anne Brady, recording secretary; Marilyn Shields, corresponding secretary and historian; Reverly Christeson, treasurer, Pauline Ol-pln, Ol-pln, program chairman with committee com-mittee members LeVone Inger-soll, Inger-soll, Lillian Cutler and Colleen Harris. Jeanne Walker will be reporter; report-er; Pearl Gourley courtesy committee com-mittee and Jackie Brady parliamentarian. parlia-mentarian. Mother of the year committee will be Karyl Halla-day Halla-day and Alta Mae Wood. Project Pro-ject chairman will be Joann Gourley. with a nicely served tray luncheon. |
