Show Funeral Services For Ellen P. Ellis Held Wednesday Mrs. Ellen Peterson Ellis, 78, died early Monday at her home in Pleasant Grove of a heart ailment. ail-ment. She was bom Oct. 3, 1880, in Faii-view, Sanpete County, a daughter of John William and Louisa Peterson Peterson. She married Alonzo Ellis in 1903 in St. Anthony, Idaho. He died on Sept. 17, 1946,. Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. She attended schools in Darby, Idaho. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 18 at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Third-Sixth Third-Sixth ward chapel. Bishop Willis M. Banks was in charge and Glade Hilton of 'the bishopric, conducted. Prayer at the mortuary was give by Arland L. Davidson and Prelude music at the chapel was played by Shiela Anderson. Invocation was offered by J. Clarence Hilton and remarks made by Glade Hilton. Speakers were Parley Christiansen Chris-tiansen and Ovid Jeppson and musical numbers were given by Mary Deveraux and Jessie Pen-rod Pen-rod "Beyond the Sunset" and a vooal solo by Jean Halliday, "The Lord's Prayer." Both numbers num-bers were accompanied by Phyllis Holien: Benediction was given by Calvin Cal-vin Walker and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Eskil Davidson. Pallbearers were Charlie Peterson, Peter-son, Alden R. Adams, Alfred Richins, Burt Christensen, L. L. Anderson and Ray Deveraux. The flowers were cared for and arranged ar-ranged by the Third Ward Relief Society. - |
