Show Improvements Planned by Pi. Grove City At Monday night's City Council Coun-cil meeting a report from President Presi-dent George Smith of the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce was considered. Mr. Smith reported that 100 metal met-al street markers could be secured se-cured for $1,753. The signs would be of cross-type design, mounted on 10 foot metal posts set in concrete. The council voted to underwrite under-write the project to the extent of $1,000. The balance of the cost and the labor of installation is to be provided by the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce. Harold Smith was authorized to designate the location of the signs and to determine the lettering let-tering to be painted on each. As a stimulus to the increasing increas-ing interest in the Pony Show to be held in Pleasant Grove in April, Ap-ril, the Council voted to provide two trophies for the competition. Other trophies are expected to be furnished by local business houses and civic clubs. At Monday night's meeting, appreciation ap-preciation was expressed for the services of Mrs. Clara Edwards, who answers fire and police calls around the clock.
