MRS, ALLEN LEMOYNE CALDWELL Mary Jean Walker Married Monday In Salt Lake Temple Ceremony A social highlight of the autumn nuptial season was the Salt Lake LDS Temple ceremony Monday, Sept. 23 uniting charming Miss Mary Jean Walker and Allen Le-moyne Le-moyne Caldwell. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walker of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Caldwell of Cardston, Alberta, Canada, are parents of the bridegroom. bride-groom. Witnessing the solemn temple rites were parents of the couple, the bride's 81-year old grandmother, grandmoth-er, Mrs. Mary Wright, and other relatives and close friends. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony given by parents of the groom, in honor of the couple. An open house reception was given Tuesday evening by parents of the bride at their home at 315 North Fourth East from 7:30 until un-til 9:30 p.m. Autumn leaves provided pro-vided the color note for the fall bridal party. In a beguiling crystal satin floor length bridal gown, the charming bride greeted guests. The slenderizing slender-izing classic princess styling of her gown, becoming to the lovely blond bride, climaxed to a full bouffant skirt, made more dramatic with ribbon bands tracing the full skirt bottcm for billowing charm, and covered over all with sheerest nylon ny-lon net. A higlnthroated neckline and long pintice sleeves detailed her slim torso snug curving bodice. Caught to a satin open bridal crown was her shoulder length bridal veil of nylon net. She carried car-ried an all white bouquet. In dainty mint green polished cottcn gowns of sheath styling, were the bridal attendants, featuring featur-ing large white eyelet embroidered embroider-ed collars; V necklines, and cap sleeves. They wore white kid gloves, a gift from the bride. A sister-in-law, Mrs. James Walker, was matron of honor; Nancy Walker, Walk-er, asister, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Nedra Caldwell, Cald-well, the groom's sister and Delia Walker, the bride's sister. They complemented their attire with dainty pink pom-pom chrysanthemum chrysan-themum fans which .they carried. For her hostess duties Mrs. Walker wore a white linen sheath gown while Mrs. Caldwell wore a dark sheath. Bast man duties were assumed by Merrill Sessions. Maur-ine Maur-ine Zabriskie was in charge of the guest book and Mr. -and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert McCausland and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Seely received guests at the door. Jane Iverson was hostess of the serving room assisted by Mary Briggs, Sonja Herring, Janeil and Lois Fugal and Janet Bronson. Junior hostess was Susan Alexander. Alex-ander. Gifts were arranged by Joyce Bullock, Mareen Holdaway, and Louise Lawrence. Gift bearers were Kent Walker, Charlie Ring-ger Ring-ger and Gary Caldwell. For a short undisclosed honeymoon honey-moon the bride wore a red wool suit with black accents. They will live at Provo where both are attending at-tending the Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. The groom has filled an LDS Mission to South Africa. |
