Tlic assembly was fifth period. .Special guests were Howard Rees, Karl Banks, former for-mer principal, and Clark Jolley, who sang the .theme. The cheerleaders led a spirited pep rally, following the assembly. assem-bly. School spirit was high and it paid off. Tlie footbaJl game with Lchi was one of the best of the season. We won by a 13 to 6 score. The Nite Hawks furnished the music for the Homecoming Dance which was held in the girl's gym. Sue Black was crowned Homecoming Home-coming Queen and her attendants attend-ants were Judy Larsen and Nancy Nan-cy Smith. Clark Jolley sang the theme song again. we wouia line 10 congratulate the pep club on the fine job they did during the halftime of the game. They really looked sharp in thedr white blouses and blue vests and pedal pushers. The girls presented a snappy stunt which ended in a block G. Keap up the good work, girls! V-V A contest for a new school song will soon be underway. Definite information concerning this will be announced later. V-V Today the executive student council went to Tintic for their first regional student council. The P.G. officers will travel on the same bus as the officers from Lehi, American Fork, BY High and St. Francis. V-V The Future Homemakers of America will Jiold their Installation Install-ation Ceremony tonight. The affair af-fair beigins at 6:55 and the mothers moth-ers of the girls are invited. Guest speaker will be Dr. Blaine Porter. The food committee is Coralee Smith, Peggy Peacock, Deanna Rees and Janice Gillman. In charge of decorations are Delia Walker, Kaye Nelson, Sharlene Bullock and Kathy Sykes. Linda Carson is in charge of the program. pro-gram. V-V Friday we meet American Fork in what promises to be an exciting ex-citing game. Both schools won their last game so let's really get behind the team and win again! |
