Show Normal October Temperatures In P.G. Last Week Normal temperatures for mid-October mid-October continued during the week ending Monday, Oct. 16. In fact it was' almost summer hot last Sunday afternoon with a high of 78 degrees. The nights also have been warm for this time of year. Just once during the week the thermometer sank to the freezing point and that was early Sunday morning. The week was day with no precipitation pre-cipitation whatever falling over the Pleasant Grove area. In fact, October has been a dry month to date. Only 0.17 of an inch has fallen during ithe first 19 days of the month. Deer hunters report very pleasant pleas-ant conditions in the hills, canyons can-yons and mountains. But this type of weather is also favorable favor-able for the deer. Most of the herds have moved to ithe higher elevations and that means hard work for the deer hunters. Beet and potato harvest is going go-ing forward favorably and fall ploughing is ahead for this time of year. Flower fanciers who specialize in chrysanthemums are having a field day this fall. Frost damage to date has been negligible and many gardens are a riot of color. A few high clouds were moving mov-ing in early Tuesday morning when this report w as written.
