Show Harold Jacklin Master M Man discussed How the M.I.A. theme may be applied in the lives of Latter-day Saints. Leading in repeating the theme was Ileen Huish. President Blackhurst expressed express-ed appreciation to all who had helped make the youth conference confer-ence a success, and a triple trio sang I'll walk 'with' God. They were Deana Rees, Lee An Smith, Linda Carson, Sue Black, Joann Radmall, Louise Richins, Alene Gilbert, Nancy .. Smith, Jeanne Bingham, Mary Jane Roberts, accompanied by Carolee Smith. Benediction was pronounced by Pauline Young, a silver glean- er. MIA Achievement Program Closes Timp. Conference The evening session of quarterly quar-terly conference, featured the achievement program of the Timpanogos Stake Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association. Conducted by Stake Y.W.M.I. A. President Wanda Blackhurst, the opening number was M.I. A. We Hail Thee, directed by Dean Ohristensen, and accompanied by Judy West. The program planned under the direction of Stake Speech Direotor JoAim Brady was as follows: Invocation Paulette Johnson, a 'Silver Gleaner. Presentation of Golden Gleaner -awards were made by Ruth Paul to Ramona Lystrup of Lindon; Shirley Ann W. Hadley, Second ward and Rosalie Jacklin, Fourth ward. Silver Gleaner awards were made by Elsie Ringger to 27 girls. Merle Armitstead and Mary Varney made the presentation of sports awards to Lindon Second for games and P.G. Fourth for attendance. Master M Men award was presented by Earl Matthews to" Harold Jacklin, Fourth ward. Athletic awards were presented present-ed by Walter Reimsdhiissel and Junior M Men by Blake Fordham. Following the awards presentation present-ation the M.I.A. theme was introduced in-troduced by Don Fordham, an ensign, and was discused as follows fol-lows : If you continue in My word, Colleen Randall, a silver gleaner; Then you are My disciples indeed, in-deed, Shirley Ann Hadley, golden gleaner; And ye shall know the truth, Gregory Hanks; And the truth shall make you free, Barbara Bar-bara Johnson, of ladies sports department. Interspersing these speakers Lee Hanson of Mens Sports dept. played a violin solo; A male quartet quar-tet Leslie Rees, Ben West, Lee Gillman and John Lott rendered a vooal number, after which |
