Draper was born in Moroni, Utah, a son of Riley Newton New-ton Draper and Margaretta (Mor-ley) (Mor-ley) Draper. He was educated in the public schools of Utah, the University of Utah and the University Uni-versity of California. He married Frances Mary Rogers and: raised a family of two sons and four daughters. daugh-ters. He is a member of the LDS Church: Mr. Draper is a candidate for Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Utah. The life of Delbert M. Draper has thus far been a fitting prelude pre-lude to a distinguished and honorable hon-orable career as a Justice of our highest state court. Mr. Draper was a livestock man and farmer, a teacher, a law lecturer lect-urer at the Universitey of Utah, . Chief Deputy Treasurer and Assistant As-sistant Attorney General of the State of Utah, State and Regional Region-al Director of Price Stabilization and is eminently successful in the private practice of the law. Members of the Bar respectfully regard him as a man of sound discretion and of unquestioned judicial bemperment. His business associates admire his ability to make timely decisions founded upon up-on fairness and good reason. His neighbors and friends have come to know him as an honest man with the highest ethical principles. On the coming election day, November 2, 1954, his nam will appear on the non-partisan headless head-less ballot. |
