Show Primary Teacher Honored At Lindon A past primary teacher of the Lindon ward was honored at the monthly preparation meeting Monday Mon-day evening. Venna Smith, recently recent-ly released from the Primary teaching staff to become president presi-dent of the Young Ladies Mutual was presented with a lovely planter plant-er by the primary president, Mae Jacklin. Mrs. Jacklin expressed a word of appreciation and thanks for the splendid work Venna did while teaching in the primary. Manual counselor, Carol Chides-,ier Chides-,ier presented the lesson, "Habits of two to four year old children." She appealed to the teachers and parents to place themselves on a child's level (figuratively speaking), speak-ing), trying to get their viewpoint and behavior reactions. If they do this they will haye the knowledge and understanding to handle the children placed in their care much more wisely. After a general discussion of the lesson by the teachers, president Mae Jacklin discussed the coming Primary Conference and the hostess host-ess Dorothy Beers served tasty refreshments re-freshments to the ladies. |
