Show Local 4-H Clubs Win Places in Utah State Fair Manila, Pleiusant Grove, and Linlon 1-H Clubs under the supervision sup-ervision of Mrs. Lurona Warnick. came through with flying colors at the County Achlevciment Day held in Frovo last Friday, August 28. With thousands of displays from the whole county, our community com-munity should be more than proud of the following clubs, individuals and team for their accomplishments. accomplish-ments. Individual exhibits chosen to go to the Utah State Fair were: Kathleen Carlson, advanced foods project, canning exhibit; Cassie iStubbs, home improvement project; pro-ject; Anna Anderson nd La-tella La-tella Beveridge, leaders, Drawer divider; Colleen Walker, Marilyn Walker, leader; record book. Group exhibits chosen wene; Karolyn Gillman's Foods I; Fern Colledge 's Foods II; Fern Wool-ley's Wool-ley's Foods III; Gladys Friant's Foods IV; Lucille Richards' Clothing Clo-thing II; and Clela Radmall's Entomology. En-tomology. County demonstration winners for the seoond consecutive year were Betty Beers and Nancy Adams. Ad-ams. These girls will represent Utah County at the State contest with their outstanding demonstration demon-stration using cream puffs for all occasions. They will receive an expense paid trip to the State Fair for three days. ' This is a particularly fine representation rep-resentation of 4-H exhibits for the State Fair because of the very limited number chosen and the work behind these exhibits amounts to many thousands of hours. |
