Show Lindon Fair Well Attended, Manv Win Prizes for Exhibits If interested spectators, community-wide support and literally literal-ly hundreds of entries is the measure of success, the Lindon Community Fair was one of the most outstanding staged for many years. Livestock entries, especially in the horse and pony division were numerous and reveals the fact that the horse as a pleasure animal ani-mal is making a strong comeback. In the horse show, prizes for outstanding animals went to the following : Arabian Grand champion mars, Vivian Dettimosi; Grand champion gelding, Ruth Cornaby; Reserve champion gelding and grand champion stallion, Russell Schow and reserve champion stallion, stal-lion, LaMar Farley. Appaloosa Grand champion mare and reserve champion mare, Bill Robinson and reserve champion cham-pion stallion, Ray Black. Quarter horse Grand champion cham-pion mare, Bjll Robinson, reserve champion mare, Maxine Carlisle and Grand champion stallion, Wayne Allen. Thoroughbreds Best 1959 colt, Rex Richins; best 1959 grade colt, Frank Walker; be9t grade mare, Glen Richins, best grade gelding and best grade stallion, Wayne Allen. In "Pleasure Class" horses top awards went to Kathy Goodo, Jimmy Lee Walker, Bill Robinson, Robin-son, Lillian Dettimosi and Henson Walker. Dairy Cattle Grand trophy, Grant L. Richards Rich-ards for holstein cow. First places to Robert Richards, Steven Briggs, and Erwin Smith. Swine First and second places to Jay Walker. In the baked goods division, Ellen Peterson was declared "Cake Grand Champion" with first place awards gxing to Ei-ma Tomlinson, Lucile Brown, Thelma Price, Rena Keetch, Helen Harper, Har-per, and Naomi Walker. Audra Hooley and Velma Walker Walk-er were judged the best bread makers and Ramona Taylor's "Banana Loaf" took a first prize. Velma Gillman made' the best bread rolls and first place cookie makers were Lorna Fotheringham and Velma Gillman. and Needlework Seniors Grand champion, a rug by Clara Edwards and a taffeta quilt by Asenath Walser.
