Show Grove Ward MIA Officers Honored At Dinner Party Grove Ward Bishopric and M. I. A. officers and teachers entertained enter-tained at a dinner party in the ward recreation hall, on Friday evening honoring the retiring officers of-ficers of the Y. M. M. I. A.: Max Hunsaker, Superintendent, assistants, assist-ants, Norman Stott and John Gourley and secretaries Darrell Harper and Gary Marshall. Mrs. Lois Jorgenscn and Boyd Harper Activity Counselors were in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Myrle Armitstead paid tribute to the retiring officers. There was a reading by Dorothy Taylor. Bishpp Harold Bullock voiced appreciation for the years of service in M. I. A. work by the retiring officers. Mr. Hunsaker, who is now president of the Elders Quorum, and Mr. Stott responded. Remarks were made by Robert Hilton, the new superintendent, superin-tendent, and Mrs. Arvilla Harvey, president of the Y. W. M. I. A. Mr. Hilton's assistants in the new setup are Ben Whiting and Boyd Harper, with James Harvey secretary. Other changes in the ward M. I. A. are speech director, Barbara Walker will replace Ranee Orton, who is leaving to attend school; as Junior Gleaner leader, Beth Stott will replace Letha Carson; First year Beehive Gwena Taylor will replace Ellen Tragaskis. |
