Show PTA Founders Day Held Thursday At High School Founders Day at Pleasant Grove High School held at the Pleasant Grove High School on Feb. 28 was one of the outstanding, events in the history of the local PTA. Objectives of the PTA were dramatized in music and spoken word. Narrator was Mildred Sutch and a cast of characters symbolized symbol-ized the objectives. Music was furnished by the high school chorus directed by Leslie Rees sang introductory numbers, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and the "Lord's Prayer." Lindon Singing Mothers sang "Home Sweet Home," and the Manila Ward Male Chorus sang "America My Country." Robert McCausland accompanied by Mrs. McCausland sang "I Believe." Elsie and Carl Ringger sang "I Like It Here." The Manilo-ettes sang "They Called It America." Benediction was pronounced by President Ertmarm Christensen. The very fine objectives which were symbolized and presented hangs on the closer cementing of schools, the home, religious and national aspects. K. Warnick Swen-son Swen-son is president of the high school PTA and Naomi Walker the Junior High PTAT Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick, Warn-ick, program chairman, conducted the meeting. A past president's pin was given to Mrs. Lola Fowlke, presentation being made by Mrs. Leslie Rees. |
