Show Wedding Reception Honors Young Couple After Wedding at Home Lovely Colleen Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald E. Christensen of Orem, became Mrs. Ivan M. Walker recently at impressive rites held at her parents' par-ents' home. Bishop Ray O. Walker of the Lindon LDS Ward officiated officiat-ed at the ceremony. The groom is the son of Mrs. Alberta Walker of Linden and Richard L. Walker, Dugway, Utah. At a reception held in the Lin- don Ward Hall honoring- the new-lyweds, new-lyweds, the new Mrs. Walker greeted friends in a beautiful creation crea-tion of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. The form-fitting bodice of lace was accented with long pointed poin-ted sleeves and dainty high neckline neck-line displaying tiny seed pearls and colored sequins. The full-length, lace-paneled skirt with chapel train was accented with tiers of tulle on either side. A fingertip veil of sheerest illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bridal bri-dal bouquet of roses and camellias. Gowned in sheath dresses of three shades of pink and carrying; white fans adorned with pink carnations car-nations the bride's attendants were Myma Monson, Mrs. Carl Gibson, Doris Jean Christensen, Mrs. Douglas Robinson, Mrs. Duane Crofts, and Mrs. Aldo Bushio. For the recetpion the bride's miather chose a blue eyelet sheath dress and the bridegroom's mother moth-er wore a peacock sheath. Both wore camellia corsages. The groom's brother, Mack Walker, stood as best man and Jerry Christensen and John Lott acted as ushers. Organ music during the reception recep-tion provided a romantic atmosphere atmos-phere and was played by Dale P. Bates. With Leon Walker as master of ceremonies for the variety program, pro-gram, Lowell Baxter offeredi a toast to the groom and Florence Bullock a toast to the bride. Lila Wells, Carla Rae Morten-son, Morten-son, Shelia Hoover, Judy Wells, Nancy Adams, and Karen Lindsey assisted with the serving, while those in charge of the gifts were Mrs. Ardie Adams, Mrs. Mack Walker, Mrs. McCay Christensen, and Mrs. Kenneth Richins. Mrs. Audine Holdaway presided at the guest book. The couple chose to honeymoon in Nevada, California, New Mexico and Arizona. For her going-away, Mrs. Walker wore a black and white box suit. They are now at home at the Alpine Villa in Pleasant Grove. |
