Show LINDON LOCALS Returning home last weekend after two glorious weeks in the Canadian Rockies are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Erickson and children, David, Da-vid, Karin and Kehaulani and Cloyd Atwood. They left for the north traveling through the rugged rug-ged Salmon River country to Flathead Flat-head Lake in Montana, then enjoying enjoy-ing the beauty of Glacier National Park, Waterton National Park, Banff National Park and lovely Lake Louise and Jasper National Park then going on o Edmonton and back down through Cardston where they enjoyed a session at the Cardston Temple and the young people took a. swim. They went through the Lewis and Clark Caverns Cav-erns before returning to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rodeback and children Kathy, Kent, Char-lane Char-lane and Delynn returned home last weekend after a week's vacation vaca-tion in Idaho. They visited at the home of Mrs. Rodeback's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Miller, and a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Miller Mill-er and family, all of Pocatello. One day the group journeyed to Lava Hot Springs where they all enjoyed en-joyed a swim. I Enjoying their- vacation at Moses Lake and Othello, Washington, were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Blanch- ard and family, Ann, Gary, and Carol. They visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Blanchard, a brother, and his family. Gay Gillman entertained 16 of her girl friends at a swimming party one day last week at the Sccra recreation center after which they returned to her home, where they were served refreshments by Gay's mother, Mrs. Garth Gillman and an aunt, Mrs. Verl Shumway. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Swenson and children Royce, Lee Ann, Johna and Edith recently returned from a trip which took them into Canada. Visiting relatives at Hill Springs and Cardston, Alberta they also enjoyed a tour through Glacier Glac-ier National Park, returning home by way of Paul, Idaho where they visited with former Lindon residents, resi-dents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Max-field Max-field and family. Enjoying a family get-together last weekend at Cedar Breaks National Na-tional Monument were Mr .and Mrs. Garth Gillman, Gay, Chyleen, Lucille and Garth, Jr. They enjoyed en-joyed fishing at Panguitch Lake while there. There were 29 present. The tennis court in the Lindon Park is now completed and ready for use. A meter will be installed in the near future for night use to help pay for the electricity used. Anyone is welcome to use this court which will be a basketball and volleyball court, and also a dance hall. Enjoying last weekend in Southern South-ern Utah were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth R. Gillman. Mr. Gillman was the announcer for the Young and Young rodeo which was held in Panguitch on Thursday and Saturday. Sat-urday. They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Usher Henrie. The foursome made a trip to Bryce Canyon and also to Beaver where they saw the horse races. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Smith and daughter Diane were pleasantly surprised last week by a visit from their son Rex and his daughter daugh-ter Kathy. Rex has spent the past 9 months in Cambodia where he worked as a machinist. He will leave next week for California where lie will be employed. Kathy will accompany her father to her home in Palo Alto. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O. Wiggin-ton Wiggin-ton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Walker and son Paul of Tooele returned to their homes after a two weeks trip through the Canadian Rockies. They enjoyed en-joyed Temple sessions in the Idaho Falls, also the Cardston Temples. Enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Glacier National Park in Montana Mon-tana and Waterton National Park, Banff National Park, Jasper National Na-tional Park and Lake Louise in Canada they journey as far north as Edmonton. They saw a pageant during the Jasper Days in a large amphitheater. Returning home, they drove over the Natural Bridges in British Columbia and through Yellowstone Park, arriving arriv-ing here Saturday night. |
