Show Drivers Asked To Use Caution On City Streets A warning was issued to Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove motorists Tuesday morning mor-ning by Grant Fowles, equipment operator for the city. "Now that our road-building program pro-gram is in full swing, drivers should use extreme caution in driving dri-ving their automobiles over the city streets. Roads are being torn up and loose gravel piled on the streets," he said. Compliance with the warning of Mr. Fowles may prevent serious accidents and car damage. Twenty-five Twenty-five miles per hour is the legal speed limit in Pleasant Grove, even if streets are clear and in smooth condition. When other conditions prevail 25 miles is much too fast. In commenting on the present hazard, Mayor Burton H. Adams said, "It's impossible to place lights at all the dangerous spots and it will be up to individual citizens citi-zens to protect themselves by caution cau-tion and intelligence." When the streets are improved, there is no excuse for home-owners to allow weeds to grow in front of their property. "If we dress up the streets, property owners should assist in dressing up the town," the Mayor said. |
