Show Stake Relief Society Social Held Tuesday Sept. 20 Timpanogos Stake Relief Society Soc-iety held a very successful social at the stake house on Tuesday, September 20. With President Florence Gill-man Gill-man in charge the program began at 2 p.m.- Opening song "Now Let Us Rejoice" Re-joice" was directed by Stake Chorister Chor-ister Ellen Peterson, and accompanied accom-panied by Lorraine Ruffell. Invocation Invoc-ation was offered by Edna Newman. New-man. Greetings and welcome, Councillor Council-lor Geneva Gibson. Standing roll call, conducted by Secretary Gertrude Ger-trude Richards. Vocal duet, "I Walked in God's Garden" Patricia Seeley and Jean Walker, accompanied accom-panied by Laurel Thorne. Tribute to visiting teachers was paid by President Gillman. Another Anoth-er number "Call Me" was sung by Mrs. Seeley and Mrs. Walker, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Thome. Here followed a one act play, "Charity Never Failith," directed by Elma Fugal with characters: Grandma, Ethel Allen; Mother, Norma Armitstead; daughter, La-Verne La-Verne Armitstead; son, Joseph Richards; small daughter, Sherrie Fenton; visting teachers, Ethel Fenton, Melvina Jones; Mrs. Fletcher, Flet-cher, Lorraine Ruffell, assisted by a chorus Lindon Second Ward Singing Mothers, directed by Ar-senath Ar-senath Walser, accompanied by Lorraine Ruffell. Edythe Kaneko of American Fork told the story of her conversion conver-sion to the LDS Church through contact with the visiting teachers. Benediction was pronounced by Edith S. Walker. During the seizing of refreshments, refresh-ments, vocal numbers were sung by Doris Johnson, Eva Millett, Elois Iskasen, accompanied by Diane Di-ane Black. Flowers were arranged and refreshments re-freshments prepared by ward Relief Re-lief Societies. |
