Show Cadmus Club Hear Program of Italian Literature Cadmus club met at the home of Mrs. Ina Page Thursday evening even-ing to enjoy a program of Italian literature when Mrs. Geneva Dal-ton Dal-ton reviewed the Nobel prize winning win-ning novel "The Mother" by Gro-zia Gro-zia Deladda. The author began her career as an Italian authoress after af-ter she was fifty years old and became one of the foremost writers writ-ers in Italy and was second woman wom-an to receive tlve Nobel prize. Carol Jaynes presented recordings record-ings of some of the greatest Italian Ital-ian music, Varadies' operetta "Rig-oletto "Rig-oletto - Eltravatro" and the "Overture "Ov-erture of William Tell." Mrs. Effie Adams gave the legislative leg-islative report on the subject of the tax program of the state as given by Merrill K. Davies, president presi-dent of the state legislative council. coun-cil. President Beulah Bradley conducted con-ducted the meeting with Margaret Hayes of the educational committee commit-tee introducing the program, after af-ter prayer was offered by Daisy Neilson. Refreshments were served to Luuena Warnick, Margaret Hayes, Maymetta Johnson, Beulah Bradley, Brad-ley, Bernice Christensen, Lucille Walker, Phyllis Banks, Carol Jaynes, Daisy Nielson, Sytha Johnson, John-son, Effie Adams, Laura Cromar, Afton Miller, Geneve Dalton and a g-uest, Betty Davies. |
