Show Orpheus Chorus Proves Entertaining To Large Audience A near-capacity audience of music mu-sic lovers filled the Timpanogos Stake recereation hall Wednesday night to enjoy the program presented pre-sented by Albert J. Southwick and his Orpheus Chorus from Salt Lake City. The concert, arranged by the local Seventies Quorums, as a fund-raising affair, was an artistic and financial success. The versatile group of artists renered selections of such varied type, that everyone present thoroughly thor-oughly enjoyed themselves. Numbers Num-bers especially well received were "Grandfather's Clock," "The Fireman's Fire-man's Bride," and "Were You There." Shirley Lehnhof and Hal-ene Hal-ene Brinton were much appreciated appreciat-ed in their solo renditions. Idell Larson was faultless as the accompanist. ac-companist. Ford M. Paulson, Seventies publicity pub-licity director, was in charge of the affair, and introduced the visitors. vis-itors. Prayers were offered by Lewis Lew-is F. Wells and President Merrill N. Warnick. |
