Show Lindon Lions Hear Guest Speakers At Last Meeting Lindon Lions enjoyed two guest speakers at the Friday evening meeting. They were Christine Yer-gensen Yer-gensen and Thorit C. Hebertsim. Mrs. Yorgensen talked on the need and desirability of a Child Clinic for Utah County and Mr. Hubert-son Hubert-son on his work in the Lions Club and National Education Week which is being held in commemoration commem-oration of education here in the United States. The club also enjoyed two accor-dian accor-dian numbers by Donna Lou Butt of Lehi. Other special guests for the evening eve-ning were Byron McFarland and Elmer Bates of American Fork Lions Club. They extended to the Lindon club an invitation to join in the Zone party their club is sponsoring in the American Fork Third Ward on November 18, at 7:30 p.m. Lindon's club voted to attend this Zone Party in place of their next meeting. President Oscar Lee Swenson conducted a short business meeting. meet-ing. Among several items discussed discuss-ed were the installation of the highway signs and the doors on the Community building in Lindon Park. The committee appointed to install the signs on the boundaries of Lindon City are: Howard Jensen, Jen-sen, Joseph Swenson and Kenneth E. Hams. All members were urged to be at the Lindon Park on Monday -evening to assist in hanging the doors on the community building. President Swenson appealed to all parents to instruct their children child-ren not to play in the building as some damage has already occured. |
