West, President of the Associated Business Busi-ness Men, sponsors of the 21-day 21-day event. The activities will get underway under-way Monday morning-, Dec. 1, with business houses and service establishments handing out tickets, tic-kets, each good for a chance on one of the 75 prize turkeys to be given away on December 6, 13, and 20. A perusal of the special adver- tising pages of this week's issue of the Review will reveal that bargains are numerous and the variety and quality of goods a-vailable a-vailable during the "Days" are . unprecedented in the history of the annual event. Besides the first drawing for 15 turkeys at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, Santa Claus will make his initial local appearance appear-ance on the streets and in the business houses and will answer the requests of the laddies during dur-ing the afternoon. At subsequent drawings, 25 prime birds will be awarded to lucky ticket holders on December Decem-ber 13 and 35 more on December Decem-ber 20. Both of these drawings will also be held on Main Street at 5 p.m. Local merchants are confident, that when quality is considered, buying in Pleasant Grove has its distinct advantages and prices are comparable to any in the state, Mr. West said Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Shopping at home also helps to build the community and adds to taxes paid and a larger local payroll. It's just good common sence to try at home first before going go-ing elsewhere for Christmas needs. |
