Show Funeral Held For William Chadwick In Manila Monday Relatives and friends gathered Moniay at noon in the Manila Ward chapel to pay last tribute of respect to the memory of William Chadwick, 53, and express sym- i pathy for his family. Bishop Harvey Har-vey Smith conducted the impressive impress-ive service. Invocation was offered by E. Ray Brown, Jr., and a biographical sketch of Mr. Chadwick's life was read by Sheila Mitchell. A vocal duet, 'Whispering Hope" was sung by Norma Smith and Lorna Backus, accomanied by Kay Backus. Speakers who paid tribute to the memory of Mr. Chadwick, and spoke words of encouragement and faith to his family, were Parley Christiansen, Rulon Nicholes, and Fan-ell Sorenson. Vocal music was given by Francis Fran-cis and Elmo Murdock "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Lola Mills. The closing number was an organ or-gan solo "O My Father" played by Dorothy Vest. Nelda Warnick played play-ed prelude and postlude organ music. mu-sic. Prior to the church services, prayer in the home was offered by Bishop Harvey E. Smith. Benediction Bene-diction was pronounced by Marion Hatch. Interment, directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Patriarch H. V. Swenson offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers were Harvey Mit-ohell, Mit-ohell, George Bloxham, Ed-ward Chadwick, Wesley Armstrong, Ohet Wintermoyer, Neil Neiffeneg-ger. Neiffeneg-ger. Mr. Chadwick was bom November Novem-ber 4, 1898, in Osterville, Mass., to Allen and) Mabel Kelley Chadwick. Chad-wick. He was educated there. He married Clara Thornton. She died in 1929. He moved to Pocatello, Idaho and then came to Utah County. He married Mary Bloxham April" 8, 1937, in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a carpenter by trade and has lived in Orern, Pleasant Grove and American Fork. He was an employee of ,the Utah State Training School at the time of his death. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his widow, three daughters, Billie Joy, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; Mrs. Carolyn Armstrong, Arm-strong, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Janice Jan-ice Wintermoyer, Rantoul, 111.; a son, Edward Earl, Ogden; three brothers, two step-sisters and a step-mother. |
