Show Boy Scouts To Make Hike Over the Old Indian Trail Planned fair Timpanogos Stake Boy Scouts iand Explorers, along with their leaders and any interested inter-ested adults, is a hike from Timp-amogos Timp-amogos to Pleasant Grove this Saturday, June 8. The hike, which will follow the old Timpanogos Indian trail, is sponsored) by Timpanogos Timp-anogos District Scouting Committee, Commit-tee, and is a part of the current scou ting itheme, "Rediscover America." Amer-ica." The gorup will leave the Timp-anoeke Timp-anoeke ranger station at 6 a.m. Contests for merit badges will be held along the way, with forest service officials cooperating with the scouts in distributing seeds to boys who wish to participate in replanting re-planting barren areas to earn conservation con-servation merit badges. Committee members stress that all boys taking part in the hike should eat a substantial breakfast before leaving home, and should take an adequate lunch. They should also wear sturdy shoes with a goad poiish to withstand dry, wet and snowy trails. Sunburn preventatives preven-tatives and remedies might also be oarried. The District Committee hopes to make the hike an annual affair. |
