Show Richard Swenson Goes To Michigan State College Dr. Richard Swenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Swenson, Pleasant Grove, has been appointed associate assoc-iate professor of soils at Michigan State College, according to Dr. Thomas L. Martin, dean of the B. Y. U. college of applied science. Dr. Swenson attended the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Schools and was graduated gradu-ated from the high school in 1938. He married Inez Tennat of Idaho. They are the parents of three children. Dr. Swenson received the BS degree from BYU in 1917 with a major in agronomy. He was a-warded a-warded a fellowship to Massach-utts Massach-utts State College, where he received rece-ived the MS degree. He received an assistantship from Iowa State Colllege, where he was awarded the PHD degree in soils in 1951. Dr. Martin described the appointment ap-pointment as "one of the choice teaching1 positions in soils in the United States." , |
